Naast mijn 365 Days of Drawing project heb ik eigenlijk nog een tweede puntje op mijn 25 before 26 lijst staan die tot meer tekenen moet aanzetten. Ik ging alle 52 thema’s illustreren die op Illustration Friday geplaatst worden. Wanneer het mij eens past kies ik een onderwerp uit de lijst en pruts ik wat met kleur. Soms vermeld ik ze eens terloops, mijn Illustration Friday tekeningen, want ze zijn nog met niet veel en ze zijn vaak vooral “work in progress”, verre van af dus. Ik vond het echter hoog tijd om die dat wel af waren eens te delen.

I wanted to draw all 52 themes from the Illustration Friday site this year. So whenever it fits I pick a theme and start mess around with colours. I’ve mentioned my IF drawings a few times before, mostly saying they’re still WIP (work in progress) and totally not finished. A few are though and I thought I should share them with you.

IF “Sweet” Ik weet nu al dat het mij nooit gaat lukken om alle 52 onderwerpen te tekenen, sommige liggen mij ook totaal niet (zoals “equalityy” of “tribute”), maar dat is niet erg. Ik merk nu al dat ik steeds meer plezier beleef aan tekeningen in kleur uitwerken, iets wat ik tot nu toe eigenlijk maar zelden deed en dat ik mijzelf soms verbaas met wat ik in kleur kan.
// It’s obvious I wont succeed in drawing all 52 themes, some just don’t resonate with me (like “equality” or “tribute”), but I don’t mind. I already find myself enjoying putting things in colour more and more. Before this year I seldom made fully coloured artwork. I also surprise myself sometimes with the things I already can do with colour, so I’m eager to learn more and get better.
